Conditions for Issuance: Granted to foreigners entering Vietnam to visit relatives or for other purposes.

Code SQ
Conditions for Issuance: Granted to foreigners entering Vietnam for market research, tourism, visiting relatives, or medical treatment, under the following cases: Persons having working relations with the visa-issuing authority of Vietnam abroad, and their spouses and children, or persons with an official request from a competent authority of the host country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Persons guaranteed by diplomatic missions or consular offices of foreign countries located in the host country.
Visa Validity: Up to 30 days
TRC Validity (applicable to the corresponding visa code): Not eligible for a TRC under this code
Code EV
Conditions for Issuance: Granted to foreigners not falling under the categories of NG1, NG2, NG3, or NG4.
Visa Validity: Up to 90 days

Notes:
Visas cannot be converted to another purpose, except in the following cases:
There is documentation proving that the foreigner is an investor or a representative of a foreign organization investing in Vietnam in accordance with Vietnamese law;
There is documentation proving a family relationship as father, mother, spouse, or child with the inviting or sponsoring individual;
The foreigner is invited or sponsored by an agency or organization to work in Vietnam and has been granted a work permit or a confirmation of exemption from work permit requirements in accordance with labor laws;
The foreigner entered Vietnam with an electronic visa and has been granted a work permit or a confirmation of exemption from work permit requirements in accordance with labor laws.
TRCs valid for from 1 to 5 years, but must be at least 30 days shorter than the remaining validity of the passport.
